FIGHT THE FLU WITH HOMEOPATHY
by John R. Benneth
The worldwide flu pandemic of 1918 was the greatest medical holocaust of all time. It was stunning in its swiftness and mortality rates. Between March 1918 and June 1920, it infected as many as one out of three individuals on Earth and killed up to 100 million people, six percent of the world’s then 1.5 billion population, most of them young adults.
There are only two disease pandemics that rival it, the Plague of Justinian of 542 A.D., and the Bubonic Plague of 1347-1350. Scientists believe it is possible that another flu pandemic could appear again this fall, and medical agencies everywhere are. preparing for its possible return.
But the authorities are leaving an important weapon out of their arsenal, a proven silver bullet for combating the flu, so effective that some medical doctors during the 1918 pandemic reported that it kept their mortality rate at zero.
It is homeopathic medicine.
To the uninitiated, homeopathy is often laughed at as being nothing more than the use of placebos, non-molecular substances unable to have effects beyond coincidence and imagination. And perhaps for fear of ridicule, officials are not presently including it as a backup to flu shots.. But the historic record shows that during the 1918 flu pandemic, the most devastating plague to ever hit mankind, medical doctors said homeopathic remedies were the only things that consistently kept their patients alive.
What’s more, science is finally catching up to homeopathy. A range of modern biochemical, biological, physical, botanical and zoological studies support homeopathy and demolish the placebo theory, but because these studies contradict the accepted laws of physics, they are attacked by theorists as “methodologically flawed.”
Use of homeopathic medicine is governed by FDA regulation and its use is growing dramatically. Homeopathic medicine is the use of dynamized solvents extracted from vegetable, mineral and animal sources. The problem begins with its counter-intuitive manufacture---diluting out the molecular solvent to reorganize hydrogen bonds in the water into a physically distinct substance. . This confounds traditional physics.. Recently, however, interdisciplinary studies led by Prof. Rustum Roy, head of the Material Sciences Department at Pennsylvania State University, and Prof. William Tiller, former head of Material Sciences at Stanford, have suggested that the molecular structure of homeopathic remedies is indeed distinct.
Rolland Conte, a French applied physicist who conducted extensive studies using nuclear magnetic resonance, reported that homeopathic remedies emit enough radiation to detect through autoradiography. After two months’ exposure, he said, a homeopathically charged substance will burn a mark on x-ray film.
Tests by Wayne Jonas, MD, former director of the National Institute of Health, has shown the prophylaxis effect of homeopathic medicine on mice in preventing rabbit fever. Probably the most easily conducted tests are botanical. Experiments at the University of Bologna on wheat seedlings report that homeopathic remedies accelerate plant growth.
Homeopathy works. It is a valuable medical tool. Let’s use It to fight the flu.
